Projet Maraichage

Un nouveau projet  de maraichage a été mis en œuvre  en 2014 dans le village de Nefrelaye financé en partenariat entre « SMAEP » (Syndicat Mixte d’Adduction  d’Eau  Potable  des Eaux de Loire) et « A Petis Pas »

Les villageois souhaitent cultiver pendant la saison sèche. Le jardinage est possible  s’il y a de l’eau pour arroser.
Nous avons clôturé une superficie de plus de 1 ha. ; un puits d’eau a été foré (130 mètres de profondeur) ; une pompe de fond y est installée : elle  est alimenté par des panneaux solaires ; deux bassins ont été construits.

Dans un premier temps  les femmes ont utilisé cette zone pour la culture de sésame pendant la saison des pluies. Puis des parcelles de 90 m2 (10m par 9m ) ont été attribuées aux villageois, principalement des femmes, membres de l’association de jardinage
Elles peuvent maintenant cultiver des légumes pendant la saison sèche: tomates, courges, haricots, salades, piments…, ce qui leur permet de varier leur alimentation et de revendre le surplus.
